Banana Split/ Toffee sauce

Banana Split / Easy Dessert with Toffee sauce

  For those midnight  cravings or when you don’t have all the time in the world, here’s a super easy dessert

Main Ingredients:

Vanilla ice cream (or any other ice cream would work) - 2 to 3 scoops
For the toffee sauce:
Brown Sugar- 1/4th Cup
Butter-less than 1/4th Cup
Cream ( double cream works well, single would give a pouring consistency) - 1/4th cup or  60 ml
Vanilla extract- 2 -3 drops 
pinch of salt if using unsalted butter (optional) 


To prepare the sauce, in a pan melt sugar and butter on low (or medium) heat,

Once melted pour the cream, add a few drops of vanilla extract and mix till it turns golden syrupy color, turn off the heat as it begins to thicken.

And the toffee sauce is ready in less than 10 minutes, which goes well with ice cream or a slice of cookie dough cheese cake

To make the banana split, split the banana add three scoops of ice cream and drizzle the toffee sauce over it garnish with Strawberries if you like and its ready(the only other fruit I had was some Clementine and that worked too ;)).
